Alright beautiful people -- Hopey and I have been working through the Hunger Games, and we have finished the trilogy AND the prequel. Team Peeta all the way, forever and ever.
What should be next? I kinda wanna go with Lord of the Flies or something equally entertaining but figured I'd reach out and see what's popular right now.
And no, I'm not reading Fourth Wing outloud -- I value my voice. I'd never recover from that.

Can't sleep
I could make a joke about how first-time kidnappings are hard, but I won't. Even for us old-timers who have been through countless traumas, kidnapping is awful. It's a loss of control that no one wants to experience.
I know there's a lot of new people here, and I want to assure you all you will be as safe as possible here. I'll be doing some night security patrols, just checking in on our security systems, walking the perimeter, and all that.

While wearing my favourite sweats with UCLA across the ass (no, I didn't go there, I got it at a thrift store), a hoodie that I think is stained with some bleach stains from the last time I decided to go blonde, and the bleary-eyed expression of a however-old-I-am year old who drank waaaay too much last night (Thanks, Gar) and was cuddled out of my own bed by an adorable feral beast of a roommate who kicks -- all this lovely mess of a Rogue .... got called Ma'am today.
And what was I doing?
Buying a MUCH deserved triple venti and when I paid, and I couldn't make my card work, I got 'Ma'am, let me show you' and just... sir. Sir. You were in diapers when I was saving the world. Give me more than 10 seconds to figure out how to work my debit card and remember my pin.
Sigh. I can't wait to get back to Quebec where Madame is just the language, and it doesn't make me feel like I failed plate serving or whatever that etiquette shit is called again. Napkin folding? I dunno, I'm the worst.
Only a few more weeks before I take off. Counting down the days.

...so in that case, and since I'm bored right now, I'm offering mini portrait sessions for anyone that's interested. I should be able to do those in the next two weeks, for sure!

Alright, this is old news for those that took me up on the hugs, but hey y'all -- I'm back for a few weeks to help out a little. I'm thinking I'll be gone before Christmas, so don't start including me in any secret santas or gift things!
Honestly, I don't even know why I'm saying hi on the journals when most of y'all know me and randomly text me anyways, and I don't know that I'll be around long enough to properly meet the new'uns but I love people, so here I am.
For those that don't know me, I'm Rogue! I'm an art therapist, I love awful romance novels and cheap coffee, and I hate spending money. Oh and I can't cook which doesn't help the 'not spending money' thing... good thing I can exist on bagels and poutine, which is kinda the reason why Montreal was soooo appealling.

People! Come on! It's Jan 3, and I ain't heard a damn thing about anyone's resolutions yet!
Last year, I resolved to drink more wine, eat more things and watch more crappy TV and I'm proud to say I aced it!
This year, I'm gonna be a bit more productive. I'm gonna fold laundry the second it's dry, wear more matching socks and learn how to braid my hair.

So not REALLY news, considering school's been in session for a week or so BUT BUT BUT
I am now the new guidance counsellor over at Bayville. Some of y'all have seen me in the halls, and I've been really careful not to say hi or anything unless someone said hi to me first (SO I AM SORRY IF YOU THOUGHT I WAS IGNORING YOU).
Also -- yes. My last name is D'Ancanto. I do have a last name. Wasn't born with just one name, y'know.
Also also -- no, I'm not telling any of you my first name. Told the school Rogue was my nickname and preferred name, and I'm sticking to it ;) A gal's gotta have some secrets, right??

I should stop eating before bed ...
So last night, I dreamt that I was married to Vin Diesel, Mexican Gangster. He was accused of killing an Olympic hopeful white girl swimmer, and had to flee to a generic Central American jungle. There were a lot of tears, as my gangster was clearly an emotional, tattooed wonder, but we made it through. I only got to go part-way though because the FBI were watching me, so I basically had to let him go (which was the hardest thing EVER) and go live with his parents...who then took me swimming, and there was a dog, and the dog pooped in a pool.
