Marie D'Ancato has come a long way from the frightened girl who stowed away in Logan's truck in X1, growing into a self-assured young woman and experienced X-Man. Her inability to touch remains her curse and while she has mastered the skills of flight, super-strength and invulnerability she permanently absorbed from a Brotherhood member, she still fears intimacy. She returned to the mansion after an absence, trained as an art therapist and reignited her relationship with Logan. She has again departed, following an offer she couldn't refuse for an art residency in Montreal .
