Some of you with connections to the local high school may already be aware of this, but for those of you who aren't, a local girl went missing last night while she was out camping with some of her friends. I've been in touch with the local folks organizing the search party to get more details and they've said that they could use extra hands and eyes if anyone has time to spare.

The girl's name is Janet Van Dyne and she's described as a petite seventeen year old with short brown hair and blue eyes. I've attached a picture that they emailed over - people have been searching for her for the past couple hours, but haven't had any luck yet.

Edit: Turns out her dad contacted the school to find out if we could help, so the professor is going to be working on narrowing down the search area, but this is information not to be shared with the search groups at large.

Might make for an interesting distraction from an otherwise boring Saturday. I'll crisscross the search grid a few times and see what turns up.

I'll still have to figure out something to do with the rest of the day, but fifteen minutes of diversion is fifteen minutes of diversion.

I can be helping for to look too, Miss Marie, if you are thinking she will not be frightened by the way I am looking? I am being good with the hiding, so maybe I am being good with the finding too.

I think it'd be great if you helped Yvette. And since you are good with the hiding, you might think of some good places to look.

Apparently a bear startled the camp she was at last night and the girls she was with thought she'd just run off and didn't think to realy worry until she hadn't reshown up by morning - Tommy said she's not the type to run off like this.

They knew there was a bear in the area, she'd run off and they weren't worried? Rocket scientists, these girls.

I'm a little under the weather so I don't think I'm up to physical or psychic searching, but if we need someone to sit comms let me know.

I'm checking police bands in the surrounding counties, as well as hospital records for unidentified females checked into emergency rooms. If she got hurt and someone found her, there's the chance she might not have been in any shape to give her name.

So far nothing's turned up, but I'll keep checking from this end.

I'd like to help

I remember her from school, although we didn't travel in the same circles. I'd like to help with the search if I could.
