Prom!!!!

As you all know, prom is coming in a little over two weeks on May 5th. In honor of Cinco de Mayo, the theme will...well, deal with the other side of that conflict. I hope y'all enjoy the C'est Si Bon theme as we bring a little bit of Paris to y'all for a night.

So far I have the following people signed up as chaperones:

Garrison (you don't remember signing up? consider this payback for the field trip) Bah, excuses excuses

Are there any other victims volunters? Remember, even adults don't have to volunteer to chaperone to attend, but it is appreciated :)

I believe that I have officially discharged my chaperoning duties for this semester. Although there is less of a chance of being chewed on at this year's prom due to lack of dinosaurs or Catseye, I will admit.

Actually, I'll have to check and make sure I'm back by then. I have to travel up to Ottawa pretty soon for a formal review. It's going to take a few days, mostly so Director Colcord can get through all of the swear words that he learned in Europe.

As for planning, Marie-Ange tossed some ideas my way this morning and I had some things set up already - perhaps we could do lunch sometime tomorrow or Friday? Dani's handling the food, which leaves us the decorations and the music (I've had a place reserved for a while and a photographer arranged as well).

Yeah, I kind of thought you might, but at least now I can tell Scott 'well, I just said we'd be there and Marie decided we'd be chaperoning' with perfect honesty. He won't believe me, particularly not after he reads this, but that's beside the point.

Oh-ho, breaking with tradition and not doing it at the school. Good choice - Cain will be pleased, I'm sure. Want to make it dinner tomorrow; in honor of the theme I think we should go to that Mexican place out on 9. You know, the little hole in the wall with the truly excellent mole.

Well, we didn't do last year's prom here either. I remember this because there was driving to Denny's afterwards. You don't know silly until you've seen Catseye tank down an entire plate of sausage in like ten seconds without even messing her hair.

I'm in for chaperoning, just cos I wanna see the kidlets in tuxes. It's gonna be a pisser. And because I don't want to see impressionable children doing things they shouldn't be doing. Yeah...

Right...um. Drop by room and we'll talk? You can come see them in tuxes without chaperoning you know, but if you would like to chaperone, you really will need to watch the kids for doing things they shouldn't.

Honestly, it's as though you don't trust me or expect me to get them all plastered or something. Which I'm not going to do because I got the speech about how giving kidlets alchomahol at school is a bad idea. I can actually be trusted to not tell them to not drink and not smoke anything or take eccies or kick while they're at the prom.
